Interesting news for Barajas! It beat off some big buildings for this award!

Architects shouldn´t be isolated from people. Awarding this “thing” with a prize is a provacation to most Spaniards who think the terminal is one of the worst building in the whole country. Architecture should serve the people, is something doesn´t fit the people, the prize is not valid. 😡

The Richard Rogers Partnership also designed Heathrow’s T5 which, as the programme last night pointed out, is costing double per Sq. M what Barajas T4 cost and will take almost 20 years from planning to opening :rolleyes:

Cool. I actually missed the program, but was very suprised to see that an airport building had been nominated…congrats owed to designer of Barajas!
Any chance of a London airport building winning the award soon (i.e Terminal 5)? :rolleyes:
