Well I got to admit that my experience to Dublin yesterday was disappointing. Not the movements but the viewing for photography. Was not aware of this but there is a few fence along side the perimeter which has been put up (i’m guessing) within the last few months.
The fence appears to rise just where the mounds start for those that do photography. Not seen this mentioned before on-line and thought I’d point this out for those who plan a trip up to the airport. I’d say, step ladders are now required for photography. You cannot take photos through the fence as its not chain link!
Overall, an interesting day for movements, but a diappointment for photography. I did however have 2 interesting and enjoyable flights with Ryanair!

It’s possible to get no fence in the shots when aircraft are landing on 28,but take-off shots are totally ruined. There are a few new spots further down the runway that look to be very good.Unfortunately i haven’t been up to try them out since i started back in college early september 😡 ,it’s my final year & i finding myself with little time to do anything! 😡

Sorry I couldnt make it I had to meet bro and sis from school after work. If I did come I could have drove you a little futher up the road which is alot better for photography espeically for 10 landings and 28 take offs. Just a pity its so far away.
No problem, think I saw you when I passed through arrivals. You was calling somebody at the front of your desk.

The fence is disappointing indeed, it was being erected when i visited in february this year, luckily i carry a set of step ladders with me, The fence is well known about btw, almost every DUB post in the past 7 months has mentioned it (i commented at the time that Aer Rianta seem to be getting a bit of the BAA-itis as regards spotting/shooting about them  )

There are still a couple of decent mounds that allow photography, at least thats they way i’ve found it even with the new fence. Apparantly there is a large new one by the start of 10 that is excellent, though I haven’t been there before.
