Last NW DC-10 flight to AMS already this month!

For those still making their mind up for a last minute to AMS, the last NW DC10 flight to AMS will not be january 2nd as mentioned previously, the retirement date has been moved forward to october 30th.

The 28th/29th is a weekend, I will be there at least one of the days. Anyone in need of a ride let me know. Perhaps this would be a nice reason to get another airlinerworld / keypublishing / air international (pick one or more) meet going. It might not be quite the event as the Concorde retirement, but no need to let the old lady go out unnoticed! 😉

Seems like the 29th will be the last Gatwick NW DC10 operated flight, NW43 to Minneapolis leaving at 1205. Weather permitting, I’ll be waving her goodbye 😉 😀

Hopefully they’ll be replaced with A330s, or similarly outfitted planes … Nice to look at, not that nice to fly in for 8 hours 😉
