Just up here at college at LBA and there was an accident with a 737 Futura where we hear that it was a tail strike on landing. There were lots of civil emergency vehicles and there was a second problem that a Jet2 a/c needed to land withing 5 mins due to low fuel. Within 10 mins it was all cleared. Just thought i would let you all know

A tail strike on landing? That must’ve been one hell of a flare!

Yeah more of an incident than an accident Mr Webb ;).
Glad everything turned out ok, saw that the aircraft was parked down the far end of the ramp when I left about half 3. Don’t know if it has departed yet, LBA website says ‘GATE CLOSED’ though it regularly says that for flights that have left hours ago!

I don’t know if I’d call a tail strike an accident.
