It’s known in the trade as a “Slow news day”. The press will drag up any old c**p and try to make it “news”. They must have run out of Diana conspiracy theorys.

Re hashing an old story.
We’re talking of a compressor stall, engine surge with resulting spit of flame out the back end. One could sya it was a “routine” failure. Nothing spectacular. However you describe it, there was no real fire. Sensationalism at its best!
FWIW, the FAA recently announced they have dropped the case against BA.
