More flight help needed :)

Hi peeps.

Following the successful help I received here for a friend. I was hoping I could call upon you all to help me out too.
I’m trying to organise a little trip down to Pontefract to meet up with an old buddy I thought I had lost in ’92. Leeds – Bradford seems to be the best airport to fly into and he says he’ll pick me up.

So.. I’m looking for a decently priced flight from EDI or GLA to LBA. I’ve not heard of a direct service, so stop offs are expected and encouraged anyway.
Might consider PIK if cheap enough. I frown upon using FR, but would be willing to given them a second chance.

A prize will be given for the cheapest and most comprehensive itinerary found. Please include links to where you find them 🙂
No known dates yet, I’m in the early stages of summing everythign up. But anytime after the end of October till middle December would be a good bet, 2006 naturally.

Good hunting and thanks in advance.

Ok enough buttkissing for today you two.

I was just stating my opinion, I just fail to see the point of starting a thread on a flight so short. Anyway that obviously is just me!

:d I hope our history is just that! Apologies if I’ve been more than a little ‘unhelpful’ before.

Guys! Do we need to be so rude to Sandy? As he said no-one is forcing you to look, and he is even being so generous as to offer a prize!

Phil

Despite our “history”, I feel Flex_35s comment was more in jest. At least that is how I am taking it. My reply is also in jest.

But, thank you anyway for “watching my back” tis most appreciated 🙂

I hate trains with a passion. I refuse to support an industry built on neglect and feeding fatcat d**kheads with no thought for safety.

But thank you anyway. 🙂

I don’t see why on such a short flight like this you couldn’t have done it yourself; it would have taken a few minutes at the most?

I can understand seeking help on a long haul flight with numerous options, or a round the world trip even. But EDI/GLA-LBA, come on! 😉

Flex

Some folks need to learn to read 😉 :p

Or perhaps a 2nd / 3rd / 4th and 5th Chance with FR if you want to make a day out of it – might be able to get a £60 deal on the offer running at present – EDI/PIK-DUB-LBA-DUB-EDI/PIK?

Oooh

See, I hadn’t thought of that!

I wasn’t being nasty, just saying I can’t be bothered to do the legwork for you, so I gave you a suggestion rather than a definitive answer. Sorry for how it came over.

Strange… Opodo never threw up any direct flights for me!

Theres no need to be nasty about it either. Its a request… Its not as if I’m ordering anyone to do it  I have made my own searches. But sometimes, different people get different prices depending how they search.
All I’m looking for here is another pair of eyes to find results that I can match up with those I have.

I didn’t think I would need to explain myself.

bmi do both EDI-LBA and GLA-LBA direct. A quick search on expedia shows about £100 for a return flying Friday and returning Sunday, may be cheaper if you use bmi’s website.

If you wanted you could always go with flyBe via BHD. I can’t be bothered to do the legwork for you.
