Looooong shot

Well, I pretty much am sure I’m not going to get the answer I’m looking for, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Back in 1994 I flew Monarch to Orlando, via Bangor in Maine. I flew out from GLA on a misty June 10th Morning and left a sunny Orlando Int on a barmy June 23rd afternoon. Both ways I got a 757. It was my first international flight and my first “big” plane.

My question is, can anyone narrow down or indeed pinpoint the reg of the aircraft. Its something that shouldn’t really matter, but for some reason the answer does not cease to go round and round inside my head!

If he knew that, why would he have bothered starting the thread?

Strangely, my request for membership at Scotavnet was denied. No reason given. I’ve never bothered trying again.

How very odd – I would have asked for the reason

Jim Fulton on the Scotavnet forum may be able to point you in the right direction. I know he has reg/movement details on Edi going back to the early sixties and he may know someone who may have something similar for Gla.
The other place to try is the PPRUNE forum.

Thanks for the help so far folks.

The more I think about this, the more I’m beginning to remember about the flight. Alas, no details that could help in tracking the aircraft down.

Had a quick look on all the glasgow movements sites , but they only go back as far as 2000
Allso had a look at the Scottish Air News archive DVD that I bought in May , but again this only gose back to 2000, as well

Of no help whatsoever but I’ll take a guess at G-MONE.

Funny that, because up untill a few years ago, I could have told you them…. now, I’m not so sure.

Can you remember the flight number? That would increase the odds slightly in your favour. 🙂
