Anyone able to confirm that the only Boeing B733’s easyJet have remaining in the fleet are:
GEZYP / R / S and GIGOP / R / V

I quite like the A319’s, I wouldn’t mind seeing them about Newcastle for a bit, a change from the 737-700’s:Dxx

Such a shame those 737 classics are going! Nice to fly on.

I thought the B737 removal was odd – but if they want to go that way…
There B733s are hardly old either, not a clue on the GO machines, but several (minumum of 12) were bought from new just before the -700 came along
G-EZYP – Delivered September 1999
G-EZYR – Delivered October 1999
G-EZYS – Delivered November 1999
G-IGOP – Delivered to Go August 1999 – Transfered easyJet July 2002
G-IGOR – Delivered to Go October 1999 – Transfered easyJet July 2002
G-IGOV – Delivered to Boeing July 1991 – Transfered Go September 2001 – Transfered easyJet July 2002.
All but -OV were delivered new to either easyJet or Go.

Yeah, Newcastle’s an all-700 base, with the exception of an early morning Sunday A319 from Stansted. I’ve only ever been on two 733’s with my mate Ben Wallace – you may know him as captainben.;)xx

I think the last -700 is to go in 2011, moving to an all Airbus fleet? The last -700, EZKG I think was delivered around Spring 2004, so could be 7 years old by the time it’s gone?

Are the -700s totally being replaced by the 319s as many of their bases are now all airbus. After all they aren’t that old and I thought they were going to operate with an “any aircraft, any route” strategy.

i think we have all 700s at ncl.

I can’t help too much with that, but I hear a 733 will be remaining at EDI until November due to delays in type rating crews for the A319.
