Now that aer lingus are leaving the oneworld alliance is it possible for BA to serve Dublin from Heathrow?,is the LHR-DUB route only allowed one carrier from each country(Bmi & Aer Lingus at the moment).Even if they can, would they want to compete against bmi & aer lingus on the route?

I seem to remember that there is some long standing agreement between BA and EI that BA wouldn’t operate LHR DUB. Might be wrong though.

I very much dount it although I would like to see it. Aer Lingus are leaving One World but are retaining code share agreements with alot of airlines and I BA is one of them.
If BA were to operate the route they would pick up connecting passengers but EI would kill them with their frequency which BA wouldnt be able to compete with.

EU remember, so any EU carrier can fly anywhere in the EU, although try telling that to some countries.
