Hi,
Anyone Know when Excel are due to get there 747-400’s to operate under Travel City Direct?
Hoping to fly on one of them next April! 😎 Had an excellent flight 2weeks ago on one of their 747-300’s MAN-SFB!
Thanks for any info you give me!
Really Appreciated! 😎
Regards
Steve

757s were regular to Florida with full loads, with some outbound stops at Bangor. Could in theory be a 757.
Can I assume you are an experienced XL 757 driver then? 3 of XL’s 757 are low take off weight examples and they are all non ETOPS so really very little chance of doing it direct. We even have trouble getting 233 pax to SSH sometimes. I think you’ll find it was the norm to stop in Bangor rather than the exception and they had far less pax than ours do. You could expect a payload of approx 15 tonnes which equates to about 160 pax. My case rests!

I can almost guarantee you it won’t be a 757. I probably could do it non stop but with only 3 pax and SG.84 fuel.

Not This Year, As im travelling with them in August, i asked them when they are getting them, they said not untill next year.
Quote From The E-Mail I Received
Our new B747-400 from ANA will not go into operation until next year

Yeah ive seen a B743 nocking aorund MAN with Travel City Direct.com down the side and XL.com on the tail, will this operate in addition to the existing TCDB744 or instead of?
Excel are definatly ramping their ops in MAN up we have no end of trainer trolly dollies going past our office here!
