Fleet listings guides

Just wondering what peoples’ preferred fleet listings guides are? Just about to buy a new one to take on my travels, and cant decide between the new “Euro JP” due out soon, the Aviation Hobby Shop’s “Airlines to Europe 2006”, or Air Britain’s “Airline Fleers Quick Reference 2006”. Only really interested in stuff i might see in the UK and Europe on my business and leisure travels. Your collective advice is apprecaited! 🙂

For carrying about, the Air Britain AFQR is nice and compact and covers all of the world, whereas EuroJP and Airlines to Europe only cover their respective areas – Airlines to Europe is also published earlier in the year and is thus now more out of date than the others. On the basis of it being small and light, AFQR is my preferred choice as a quick reference book to travel with. However, as I travel with a laptop for much of the time, I actually acquire the full JP Airline Fleets on CD most years, and use that too.

TAHS Airlines to Europe has been by book for the last 4 editions now, and handles UK and European stuff perfectly. I only use it for reference purposes now really, instead marking in the few interesting things I see in a database. However despite that fact it served me very well in the few years that I logged religiously, and still has a purpose now I dont 🙂
