Hercules over LBA

Any one else seen the Chinook coming in on runway 32 at LBA this morning? Must have done about five approaches in the last 45 mins!

Me and a couple of guys from college went for a drive into North Yorkshire earlier, and we stopped off at the Chevin and we could see the Chinook from there. Awesome sight!

Headed outside to see if it was still there, and no luck. The ramp was almost completely empty too.

The MAAF/DEFRA 228 has been about for the last two days. I felt strangely at home after hearing that very distinct sound of the Chinook while walking through the city centre this afternoon, they are almost always over my house down south!

Carrott23? My only guess is DEFRA? I’ve seen one of their 228’s circling over Crewe before now.
