According to another site Emerald stopped flying at 2100 hrs tonight 🙁 Apparently the CAA revoked their AOC.
I hope it works out ok in the end for the employees. Good luck.

How much Dept is Emerald in and what would you think it might be worth as a going concern?

Caledonian you are indeed correct, KPMG are the appointed administrators. They are trying to sell the business as a going concern, but ultimatley it will probably end up being incorporated into another freight operator, or bought out by a non aviation company.
My money is on the first one…

Heard today that Emerald have gone into administration and their is already 4 potential companies planning to take over the operation. It will probably result in me losing my job, but it maybe the kick up the a$$ that i need. Its the older guys i fear for. We have heard nothing from Emerald’s bosses yet but the future looks bleak. Expect an announcement in the coming days!!!

The apron outside emerald is now full , one of the 748’s is now by the pumps and the two 360’s are down at the start of runway 28.

There were others that i could not see , however they already had the monopoly on dumping aircraft we also have
G-SSWO 360
G-SSWA 330

G-ATMI 748
ZS-ODJ 748So i reckon thats 5+already dumped and ten new arrivalls!!
G-SSWA was sold by Emerald and broken up at BLK by it’s new owner.
ZS-ODJ – Not sure of the state of this, but believed to be a Hornblower of South Afria aircraft – we have never operated it as such.
G-ATMI was broken up for spares many years ago, and the Fuse is now used by the AFS i Believe.
G-OTBA is on Mx, G-BIUV and G-SSWO had been in storage.
The 2 Shorts arrivals from ABZ were G-ROND and G-JEMX.

🙁 Man this is bad news I will miss seeing their HS748’s! Will Air Contractors’ ATR aircraft take up the Mail routes like they did with the Channel express service from BOH to the Channel Islands with the F27.
