Virgin Atlantic to fly from GLA

Apparantly, Virgin Atlantic are to start a short series of flights from Glasgow to Orlando. Flights will operate once a week from 23rd June until 14th July, and then again on the 06th and 13th of October.

Great news for GLA, lets hope this short series leads to more!

Where has this come from?

I know RB has expressed his wish to operate to MCO and the Caribbean from practically every UK regional, starting with Glasgow and Belfast.

If it becomes permenant then it’s great for GLA, I just hope they don’t lose MAN passengers that don’t want a detour via GLA in the process!

I’m still surprised at why BFS is in there every time someone mentions it 😀
I wonder how many passengers they are losing already to FCA with their new long haul package?

Yes indeed this has been rumoured for a while. I just hope their isn’t an overkill of Florida services, driving certain operators out ? Similar to Air Canada pulling out of an over saturated Scotland-Canada market…

It’ll be nice to see these at GLA all the same… 😀

Heard about this a wee while ago, afaik they are “dipping their toe” to see if it is viable to operate from GLA on a possible sched service statesbound next year.
