Hi guys,
Just having a read through the thread. Including the two engined VC-10. Anyway, if Robert doesn’t mind me sharing his thread I did see another unident plane flying over EDI, it was on Tuesday (25th April) and the thing that caught my eye was it had three engines, well three trails at least. It was flying in a very definite North-West direction probably headed for the Atlantic Ocean. My first thought was NW DC-10 but im unsure. I have never seen a three engined plane over EDI before so I am just curious. Sorry no pics it was spotted on my way back from that wonderful place they call SCHOOL!!!!!
NW DC10’s sometimes route over EDI , also theres the odd freighter, but I agree 3 engined trails arevery rare now! (Better not forget RAF Tristars in this as well)

How did you find that info 😮
At first I was going to say FAT then i thought they don’t fly over here and they have a red underneath (what plonker i am 😮 )
James
went to Flynordic website, looked up where they fly to, DUB was about the only geographical place they it could have been going, and the timetable confirmed it 😮

How on earth could you think an MD-80/90/DC-9 is a VC-10?!! 😮 Tell me you were joking.
I was not joking, but as I have said in previous posts, my aircraft recongition skills are next to useless – sorry! 😮 😮 😮

It could also be a military VC10 as it does not have many markings on it.
😮 😮 😮
The youth of today!!!!

wonder where it was going? Heading along the Forth valley east to west, not too long before was a Finnair A319, must be DUB?

Well it looks to be an MD-80, but not sure which airline it could be. It could also be a military VC10 as it does not have many markings on it. If it is a VC10, it might be the same one that xpboy saw whilst he was at NCL!

I was thinking Spanair too, could be one of the Norway-Canarias flights, but seems a bit long for an MD80?
