Spotting at LBA

Right – i have now booked a BMI flight from MAN to EDI on Thurs 27th so have a chance to get some quick spotting in from the car park at MAN about 1030….. Yipee!!

You must have a lot of dough, booking last minute scheduled flights! 😉

A330 – I get to Leeds about 1130, will chuck my crap into Malmaison, head into the office and then be free(or make myself free) about 1700 – maybe earlier….Wanna hookup and go over there? As I am off to EDI on Thurs, I can be sensible and take the train, but am REALLY tempted to dive over to MAN and then fly up!! LOL. As for returning to STN from EDI on Friday, I might well fly to AMS and then back to STN for the sheer fun of it! (as long as the boss doesn’t see my expenses! 😀

Wouldnt mind at all, but I’ll be at college during that time. I can only get out at around about 12.15.

If they are on 32, head left out the terminal, down the road to the roundabout, left again, go through the tunnel, and when you come out the other side, you will see a grass verge with a bench on top. Thats the best 32 spot.

If 14, head left out the terminal, straight on at the roundabout, walk for about 10 minutes to the end of the road, turn left, follow the road round for about another 10 minutes, and you will notice a sharp turn to the right eventually and cars parked probably. This is the best 14 spot.

Chaps – Looks like I might be having a whirlwind stop in Leeds tomorrow en route to EDI on Thursday/Friday – unf. I am getting the train to Leeds, but am aiming to get some free time in the early evening to head out to the airport to try and snag some photos (weather permitting) – does any of the locals have any recommendations for decent spots?

I notice that on the south side of the airfield you get some quiet things in there……would that be gliders?

Also on Cemetary Road there are no fencys in the way…..what the hells a fency?
