A few from Old Warden on Saturday when the sun came out a bit. Plus one from August 7. Have been trying for a long time to get the Hind & Hurricane together like this. At last!
Exposure a nasty in this light – one or two a fortnight at F8. Scuse fuzziness… http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=24#

The Hurricane project was originally the ‘Fury Monoplane’ in the Hawker office.

I got 2x 3 frames (two fly pasts). The sharpest one is also the worst in composition! The Hurri cockpit is hidden behind the Hind rudder and the Hurri rudder is cut outside the frame. DOH! 🙁

Got 3 frames (EOS 10D) First one both reasonably sharp but not perfect. Second Hurricane sharp Hind soft. The one above Hind sharp, Hurri slightly soft. looks sharp due to angles etc. B***** lucky! One makes one’s own though!

Worth the wait! Backs up my theory that the Hurricane came into existence when a Hind’s top wing broke in two and fell down on top of the bottom wing during final assembly.
Judging by the Hurri’s wing’s thickness, they actually glued both Hind wings together 😉
Nice shot indeed. I screwed up mine a bit…

I should remember to use a faster shutterspeed on formation flights (and smaller aperture too). You can never track them both as they move at different speeds relative to the cam… So often one is OK and the other is blurry. Now they’re both a bit… “soft focus” 😉 Yours came out much better 🙂
