It’s not that bad. Nothing that a good Santa Ana wind can’t take care of once in a while. 😉

A Condor DC-10? No idea LH used to send those guys down here. A UTA 3-holer as well!

That’s why the high desert is nice 😉

And that sure is nice to see all those long gone liveries!

It brings a tear to the eye – just like the LA smog! 😉

26 years ago – could most of those aircraft still be flying today? It would be interesting to check on the ones with visible registrations – but I don’t have the wherewithal to do it!

10 mins produced the following

N68053 Continetal DC10 – Possibly still flying with Fed Ex
N606BN Braniff 747SP – Possibly flying as A40-SP
N472GB Boeing 737 Air California – Scrapped in Peru
Braniff DC-8 – ???
D-ADPO Condor DC!0 – Now N540AX with Omni Air
HS-TGA Thai Boeing 747 – Now N523MC with Atlas Air
G-BDXE Boeing 747 of BA – Scrapped
F-BTDC UTA DC10 – Stored ?
XA-AMA Aeromexico DC9 – Now a corporate jet

Only two defenitely scrapped and probably the Braniff DC8 as well

Those are fantastic pictures. Just as interesting, or even more so than the ones we get today! That Braniff 742 is awesome!

Brilliant, just brilliant. It’s quite interesting to see the colours aircraft wore the year before I was born!

These ‘old school’ shots are just incredible, you have one hell of a back catalogue!

Especially love the Braniff 74′, and Condor DC10. 🙂
