Bit random (PMN should like randomness lol) but do you think Bombarider might put A320 style winglets on the Dash 8s? Do any High Wing Aircraft have winglets? Would it still be effective on a High Wing?

C-17 Globemaster. 🙂
And a long hauler too, so it makes sense.

High wings can come equiped with winglets as well. The Fokker 50/60 has tiny winglets as well. Although they are referred to as Foklets.
Difference between the winglet and the foklet is that the foklet is connected with the outer flaps and thus move up and down with them.

Im no expert, but i shouldn’t think so. winglets are only really effective on long haul aircraft where the savings in fuel consumption are noticeable – on such short routes a 2-3% fuel saving is surely not worth it. As a result of fitting winglets to the Dash 8, there would be a loss in payload capacity becuase of the weight of the winglets – ok, winglets are not enormously heavy, but on such a small aircraft an X kg weight penalty might be noticeable on baggage load capacity etc.
putting winglets on an aircraft that is dash 8 size is, i think, not worth it, and its not cheap – the small cost savings wouldn’t warrant adding them – the cost of the winglets would take a lot of time to pay off through the cost savings – managers want cost savings quickly.

why would they specifically be A320 style?
You’re not talking about the new “in testing” ones are you? Which are basic generic winglets.
