If you look closely at the buildings in the background to the right of the hangars, the dark building is Astral Towers which locals will know today as the home of British Airways Holidays. When this was taken it was BCals recently opened new head office building. You can just make out their name on the roof.

dunno, cos this was the last time I was at Gatwick, would imagine its changed though 🙂 It was quite photographer friendly in’t the good old ays 😮

Well they’ve built a new level on top of that pier and shut off the viewing gallery 😡

I liked BCAL such a shame when they went.

I see now – a view that would be obscured by the pier upward expansioin nowadays!

From the viewing area, I was passing through on the way to Majorca!!!
