Will be making a triip to Bristol in May and due to various things not working out I will be left with 3 1/2 hours at the airport before flying home. Can anyone suggest a good place to spot that preferrably isn’t more than about 20 minutes walk from the terminal (I’ll have luggage). Any help appreciated.

You could try walking out to the main gate, this is basically alongside the runway. However, you will be on a very busy road. There is a layby/crashgate/access way on the other side of the road which is safer to use.
