Flybe have announced a new base at Newquay according to this http://www.flybe.com/news/0603/27.htm
with bases already at Exeter & Southampton, is this not really overkill on the South Coast – seems a strange choice given NQY’s uncertain future, maybe that’s why they have only announced one route so far with low frequency – also wonder what WOW’s reaction will be, if any?

As ever FlyBe’s definition of a base is quite loose. Any airport with a destination is usualy classified as a base!
Especially as the EDI flights are operated from the EDI base! 😀
