Photos frmo WOE, EIN – 19/03/06

Just a few photos from a very long day.

Had hoped to go spotting in BRU today. Left early in the morning and arrived there roughly 0900, 0930. The placed was fogged up pretty badly. After waiting for an hour I decided to give up and left back home. En route stopping over at WOE (Fokker storage/maintenence area) and EIN. So not a lot of photos this time.

F100 ex Jetsgo now owned by a Austrian leasing company that has leased it out to an as yet unknown Russian airline. Will be the first F100 in Russian service.

The elusive PH-LMV. This plane was bought by KLM Cityhopper from TAM. Was painted in full KLC livery, and operated a few flights around august last year. However, it was quickly disposed of and has been at WOE ever since.

Rumours at airliners.net mentioned it was to be re-engined with BR.715s (the 717 engine). This would have been a first since till now the F100 has only been powered by RR Tays. Obvioulsy this was done to improve the economics of the F100 even further so that Fokker Services could offer it as part of a comprehensive upgrade program.

However, then someone at airliners mentioned the plane had been sold and the re-engining was cancelled. Anyone happen to know what is happening with this plane?

Just parked in a corner backlit with loads of clutter, as usual. Did not bother making a photo cause it would I would have thrown it away anyway. Still have not had a good shot of it flying.

In fact, the air base part of EIN closes over the weekend. So because of my work schedule I have not been able to get myself to EIN during a active day. And when I have time of during the week, I prefer to spend it at AMS, DUS or FRA where there are more then two planes an hour.

I would not visit EIN for spotting only. Just visit AMS. EIN has its IL76 air force charters, but they only come in from time to tim so that is a hit or miss excercise.

That wasn’t the plan really – was just somewhere to hitch a lift over to easily to continue onwards from there!

Looking to pop over to EIN sometime in the near future myself – might have to drop you a line!

No RNAF DC-10s about today?

Oh, very nice! :D:D:D

See, I told you the sun would find you eventually. 😉

Yeah, but only after wasting 20 liters of petrol driving up and down to Brussels!
