A few from Hong Kong…..

Here are a few shots taken yesterday at Chek Lap Kok – I ended up taking over 650 shots, so have slimmed it down to a few for here!! 🙂

Moderator Comment

A gap of almost three months since the last posting does make a thread old.

Trust me on this.

IMO: If a two-months-old thread is “old”, then we might as well delete the Historic Aviation forum. 8)

Ace photos. That very once photo, the A319 of China Eastern looks very dirty. Best one I think is the B777 of Singapore Airlines.

Just noticed: Unusual Aviation Pictures, at
http://www.avpics.de/mov/civ/hkg_land.mpg
has two videos of, eh, unusual landings by civilian aircraft at VHHH, that is, Hong Kong IAP.

Anyone here happens to know the dates and details of these yawful (pun intended) landings?

TG operate the A346 into Melbourne daily, isn’t that a continuation of the Sydney flight??????

TG994 is the return flight of TG993 BKK-SYD-MEL, and returns directly MEL-BKK (with the exception of April 6 and 8 where it stops in HKT before continuing on to BKK). It is daily and operated by a mix of 744’s and 747’s until April 9th and from then on it’s operated by a 747 (I presume this to be the aforementioned 743). TG981/982, on the other hand, is non-stop BKK-MEL-BKK and is operated by the A346 4 times weekly. From the 29th of October, this flight will be operated by a 777.

I was wondering if TG still operated their 743’s with the newer GE engines and that photo of it just relieved my curiosity. 😀 They used to send them every other day to SYD but I’m not sure that they do anymore, instead using the 744 daily. Hopefully I can get on one before they retire them.

Superb shots!

I love Asian airports because every time I visit one, I always stumble across an airline I’ve never heard of before! :p
