jetBlue destinations

So i go to school in Arizona and I am originally from the Midwest. Does anyone have a reasonable thought as to why jetBlue doesn’t fly to any city in the upper midwest. Southwest a major LCC has a huge operation in Chicago and perhapps that is why they don’t too much competition but on the same note there are three major airlines that have sizable operations in chicago there has to be a large demand. So why no service.

It has been rumoured JetBlue are interested in Chicago, but only in serving ORD. However I dont think there are any spare gates there. If you do a search on a.net you’ll probably find something

LCC’s don’t fair well in high cost hubs (ie ORD) and since Southwest has a lock on MDW any entry by JetBlue would be quickly crushed.
