Any Idea who/what the DC-10 was doing at GLA today? It was there at 10.30???

It was on BAA departures to leave at 1220 but went 20 minutes early so I missed it by less than a minute, it was dreadfully dull weather and went up very quickly being empty so I would have been a struggled with it anyway. Oh well.
Talking of very dull weather this was the Volga Dnepr AN124 departing at Prestwick on Sunday 5th of Feb, how’s this for light at 12pm.
Excuse the logo on this one I have used my web site shot of it since it was handy.

So presumably this is another foreign troop carrier chartered by the RAF to cover for it’s shortage at the moment ? There was a French Air Force A310 in a couple of weeks or so ago.

:O I thought I heard ATC tell an approaching loganair that their was a DC-10 on the runway, but I thought I was hearing things. This was just after the EK landed.
