777-200LR @MAN

PIA’s first 777-200LR is scheduled to be delivered through MAN on the 26th of this month. It is flying in from Seattle and then doing a revenue flight on to Pakistan. This is planned to be it’s only scheduled visit to MAN.

Grey Area — interestingly enough, Boeing uses the same name (Unk-unks) for the same situation Rumsfeld described, though surely years earlier.

Word is that it’ll be in the “Dreamliner” scheme with PIA titles.

It’s the B777-200LR demonstrator, apparently.

Wow, that is interesting…

The demonstrator:

http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0864328/L/
note that there are a total of 3 rows of 7 abreast – 21J.
Economy class:
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0906018/L/
4 rows of 9 abreast, plus 2 rows of 8 abreast in A300 mockup, presumably nonfunctional windows – total of 52Y.
The ballroom

Not sure how comfortable it is to dance in flight…

and that is the test equipment
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0906606/L/
With a total of 73 seats, I think Boeing had less than 50 % load factor on their HKG-LHR flight wit 35 passengers.

For comparison, the old PIA 777-200ER BusinessPlus seats:

And that is how they describe it:

One wonders – if the departure on 26th instant does not yet have the final livery, what would the interior be like?

It only hurts because it’s true………… 🙁

Maybe it helps if you replace your rainy avatar with a sunny avatar? It’s all karma you know!

What do you reckon to the chances of bright sunshine and a 24R approach? 😉

It has Raked wing tips like the -300. There are other differences but they are “Visualy” minor.

How can you tell the difference between a 200 and a 200LR, don’t they look exactly the same????
