The modified wings and new engines should give it a newer look and will make it recogniseable from the other versions of 747.
Though on the whole, the design is practically the same as the 400.

The 747, in any variant, will always remain one of my favorites of all time. I will remember my first flight on one as most memorable. If I remember correctly, it was a board a UTA 743 to Sydney from Paris. Long flight but who cared at the time, I was ten and the seat was more than roomy for me!

i saw my my first and second 747s ever at MAN yesterday and i was in awe at there size and power especially when a PIA 747 gave the grass a cut when it taxied past the viewing park

That airframe design has stood the test of time when you consider it’s still in production
Something a lot of people forget (not necessarily on this forum) when accusing the 747 if being dead and buried.
