Like Lee said before the best way is to ,if you can try them all.
Most of them will give you a demo disk so you can see how they work for you.
I have tried them all some are good, some are very good and one is complete crap, but that is only my say .Go out and see for yourself.
I know both the owners of Aerodate and Aviationdatases and they are both very helpfull abd easy to contact and talk too

Cheers

Why get a standard program, when you can custom design your own MS Access database according to YOUR demands, preferences and wishes? I stepped over to Access (from MS Excel) a long time ago and never looked back.

In my experience, most of the aviation databases do the job, it just depends on what you are expecting.

I used to use Aviation Databases < http://www.aviationdatabases.com/ > which was fantastic with plenty of development, but it was very expensive.

I now use ADU < http://www.airlinedataunlimited.co.uk/ > which is less dynamic, but a hell of a lot cheaper.

I would advise doing a google search on aviation database and contact the many different manufacturers, as they mostly offer trial versions so that you can get a feel for what they offer and you can work out what you want.
