An-124 in Nice…

Would anyone know why this little beauty, http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5656506 is in Nice. I find it a little odd as I don’t see what type of cargo it could either be dropping off or picking up! Thanks for any information!

could be to drop off one of those glass bottom boats that are like a little dinghy very modern though theres a one at st maxime just down the coast

Youve been on it too eh? Love St Maxime. La Mole aka St Tropez Airport is a fun place too!

The photo states it is a rare visit to Nice! Not quite correct. Last time it was in, they collected a whale and delivered it to Nagoya (Japan). Volga-Dnepr operate a fleet of ten AN-124’s.

They often get used to transport mini submarines around the world, just a guess in this case ??

Would you be talking about little subs used for research? In which case the Sea Museum in Monaco could have contracted the aircraft to transport one of its submarines! Thanks Ren!
Any other possibilities? 🙂
