Hi i have just got back from Jersey was supost to be yesterday but fog canceled all afternoon/evening flights. Servisair told us their systems crashed and had to do manual check in, when we got to the plane we got told there was 1 bag to many and had to get off and identify our baggage 2 times and left 2 hours late. is this a usual occurence when systems are down or is it rare to happen. we got told servisair was down all over europe.

the pilot and servisair people told us this could it just be in uk.

I dont see why they would be down all over Europe???
Servisair use a system clled CODECO which is the same system KLM use infact they invented it.
From time to time it does go down but Ive never heard of it going down all over the place.
Servisair Globeground arnt the only ones who have had trouble, Gulf Air in Dublin who are handled by Aviance had a computer failure just last week.
