Jet2.com gave the people of Lancashire an early Christmas present today, with the announcement it will be introducing flights from Blackpool to the Spanish hotspot of Alicante, fares start from £31 inc taxes.

The news comes hot on the heels of Jet2.com’s very successful services to Belfast and will commence in April 2006 alongside the already launched flights to Murcia and Palma.
The Alicante service will compliment flights from Blackpool to Murcia, with the two together offering unrivalled access to the Costa Calida and Costa Blanca regions, which are home to La Manga, Benidorm and Torrevieja, to name but a few popular tourists resorts.
Flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays initially with more to follow in the coming months.
