RYANAIR LAUNCHES TWO NEW ROUTES FROM LIVERPOOL
LIVERPOOL – PORTO
LIVERPOOL – SEVILLE
Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline, today (Tuesday 6 December 2005) announced two new routes – from Liverpool to Porto in Portugal and Seville in Spain starting 22 February 2006 with seats from just £6.99*.
These new routes to Porto and Seville follow the recent announcement of new routes from Liverpool to Bergerac, Carcassonne and Derry that will start on 9 February 2006.
Karl Hogstadius, Ryanair’s Sales Manager in Liverpool today said:
“Today’s two new routes to Porto and Seville bring the total number of routes at Liverpool to twenty. Ryanair launched its Liverpool base in November 2004 and passengers and visitors to Merseyside have voted with their feet, choosing Ryanair’s low fares and No.1 punctuality over Easyjet’s high fares.
“In the next twelve months Ryanair will carry 2.4m passengers to and from Liverpool, more than any other airline, sustaining 2,400 jobs.
“We urge passengers to book now on http://www.ryanair.com as seats this cheap to Porto and Seville will be snapped up very quickly”.

I think Ryanair now, offers a greater selection of routes from Liverpool than Easyjet.
RYR and EZY offer 2 totally different markets. EZY go for the more business routes, i.e Paris, Amsetdam, Berlin, whilst RYR go for the more elasure based routes. They complemet each other very nicely

easyJet and Ryanair really seem to be complementing each other well there.
Indeed, they operate on two totally different markets, which is healthy for the airport and the region!

Isnt NCL-BGY being reduced in frequency to accomodate LPL-BGY?
By: bmi-star - 6th December 2005 at 11:54
It seems that BGY tho will go to x4 weekly, operated by BGY based equipment. This means that the LPL based aircraft that was to be used to Milan, will operate these two new routes instead.
