BA Dash-8 spotted at Blackpool

Out at Ansdell today with the dogs on the beach and noticed G-BRYY, BA Dash-8 doing what looked like practice landings / takeoffs at Blackpool.

I don’t know of any BA flights that use BLK, so are they just using it as a suitable place to train pilots or is it so that existing pilots can get used to the airport incase BA start to use the airport?
