A BUDGET airline has axed its service from Edinburgh to the Czech capital Prague.
Flyglobespan has withdrawn the daily route from its winter schedule following a lack of demand from holidaymakers.
The airline will cease to fly to the Czech Republic from November 30 this year, until the end of March 2006. The firm could opt to return the service for its summer schedule. Passengers already booked on flights to Prague have been offered alternative seats on Flyglobespan’s service from Glasgow.
A company spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers, but we have to listen to the market and the market doesn’t want it.
“The aircraft used on this flight will be employed on another route from Edinburgh, and we will be making an announcement on a massive expansion from the Capital in a few weeks’ time.”
