Finally this July, NWA get their hands on their new A330… two months late from delivery.
It will be operating on the DTW-SEA at first, then as more join the fleet, the DC-10’s will begin to be phased out, which means…………………………………. NWA A330’s AT LGW!!!!!.
As of late summer this year, NWA will begin to operate the A330’s from DTW-LGW and DTW-FRA.
As the year progresses, they will also operate from DTW-LAX, PHX and BOS.
NW’s seating configuration:
A330-300 = 298 pax
A330-200 = 243 pax
A total of 24 A330’s will be delivered to the airline by 2006. To me this is great news. 🙂

About time NW take delivery of the A330. I have JP Airline fleet guide from ’95, and they had them in there scheduled for delivery.

Note: Trijet fan I am.
Sad to see the MD11’s being phased out, but it happened to the L1011’s and all the other magnificent trijets.
