Not great at all. I told you they were bad… Bloody chain link fencing, and lamp posts!
Well here you go. Oh i forgot to mention, this UA 777 was missing part of the tail too. As seen in the first pic. 🙂

Sorry to deviate slightly but I’m getting a bit bored with using the wysiwyg monicker and am considering going to my pseudonym that I use on motorbike forums which is Pondlife. What do you think?

That’s how I do it, at SYD, Ren. All those guys on A.net that take pics there, bring a ladder. I’m not quite to that stage yet, perhaps on my home turf. That 777 does look menacing. I never knew was wysiwyg stood for, thanks for that.

Mind you the fence does give a kind of post 9/11 “keep out” theme to the pics. I think the 777 looks really menacing front on, reminds me of a shark’s face somehow ?

Thanks a lot mate,
Great photographs. Did you get the registration of it?

Most of the GLA and PIK shots I’ve put on here were done shoving the lens through the gaps in fences such as above. A pain in the backside but all too often the only way to get pics at airports these days.
And it’s much easier with a “through the lens” viewfinder, so that what you see is what you get (wysiwyg)

…but make sure the lens isn’t covered – the lens the phot is take from on my camera used to fall directs on a piece of wire if the viewfinder showed it as clear!

Andrew, try sticking your lens right up to the fence. It will get the view right inside one of those links. Most of my pics from SYD at the beach are done like that.

And the other pic of it….
