just a thought on these special c/s – do they have a shorter paint service life than the standard airline liveries for any reason?

The Nalanji Dreaming BA 747, no longer exsists either, now in the UK flag scheme, as most BA aircraft are now. Though the Wunula is still around, but for how long?

Ok, thanks for the clearup. I was, indeed, aware that the F1 colours had disappeared. At think at this stage, it would almost be futile to repaint Nalanji dreaming. The most feasible scenario seems to just retire it as is.

”apology” It was not 743 Nalanji dreaming that has been repainted,it was 744 VH-OJC F1 Grand Prix colours that has been returned to Qantas livery.

Must be very recent then. I just looked on A.net and the most recent pic of Nalanji is on May 3. That’s too damn bad, I like that scheme. What other routes do QF use the 743 on, other than to Hawaii?

743 Nalanji Dreaming and 744 Wanula dreaming are now both back in original Qantas livery.

BA used both on a pair of 744’s, as well. I saw the Wunnala one at JFK 3 weeks ago, very nice! Alas, no pic. 🙁

BA used them too…

BA used both the Wanula Dreaming and Nalanji Dreaming schemes on the tails of a couple of 757’s:

I prefer this one over Wunala. This paint alone on this aircraft, is the most amount ever required to paint any airliner. I can’t recall the actual weight of the paint off the top of my head. Here it is parked at the gate in SYD in July 2002, taken by me.
