I saw a Virgin 747 Tyre blow out last year up at LHR, whilst on a roll for take off. Heard a loud bang, and then saw 4 or 5 fire engines rush down the runway… very exciting. :p

that colour scheme is very dated but it somehow manages to look good on a 744 mind you i dont think you could have a bad looking 744

One of these had a tyre blow out today up at LHR… held up take off traffic for 20minutes!!! Aircraft was delayed by 1 1/2 hours.

There begining to become common, tyre blow outs.

Whatever happened to the Air India scheme from a few years ago.. I seem to remember seeing a 747-300 in “Air Transport World” with a new livery.
