On the airbands

This story concerns a BAe 146 and a Beech baron.The BAe 146 was taxying for Alice Springs,and shortly after this,the pilot flying the Beech Baron also announced she was taxying for Alice Springs.Shortly after her call, the BAe 146 pilot said:
“Maam, if you would like to make an intersection departure ahead of us,that will be fine
The reply from the lady stunned both the tower and the BAe 146 crew: “Thank you Sir, but i always take the full length!”
