An Air 2000 757-200ER G-OOOX was a recent visitor to Brisbane and it wore TCS Expeditions titles on the port forward fuselage.
Anybody fill me in?

I watched a travel documentary on satellite just last week with Alan Whicker who travelled round the world on a special Thomas Cook Holiday. They chartered their own ATA L-1011 fitted with luxury accomadation. I think these type of trips are quite popular.

G-OOOX was at BHX yesterday evening in full Air 2000 colours. Isn’t that scheme awful?

Last year or the year before they actually chartered a whole a/c, repainted and refurbished it for a round the world series of flights – theres loads of pics of her on a.net inside and out – will pull some out later

As far as I know she was painted up for a special charter. Some kind of specialised “off the beaten track” kind of holiday/tour. TCS Expeditions do a round the world trip which takes in the Great Barrier Reef as one of the stops. Which may explain the Brisbane sighting.
On their website they claim to have their own private 757 “maintained” by Air 2000. I reckon they just charter it though ?
If you’re interested in taking the tour, you won’t get much change out of $45,000 USD
Here is G-OOOX in Cambodia as part of the world tour.
