Gulf Air in the coming months, will launch a subsidary airline, called “Gulf Traveller”.
The airline will use a fleet of 9 Boeing 767-300s, based at Abu Dhabi International Airport, all of which are currently in the Gulf Air fleet at the moment.
The airline will fly to destinations in Asia, primarily the Indian subcontinent. It is rumoured that there are also plans for the airline to fly to Manchester in the Future.
The livery adopts parts of the parent as can be seen in the two pics below.

The new Gulf-Traveller doesnt want to be confussed or even compete with the ‘Low-frills stuff’ its going to be an all-economy full service subsidary. Basically its the same service as flying as an ecomomy passenger on a normal flight. If this is successful then it will offer the aircraft to other Gulf regions.
Flights will start on the 1st June and with an initail line up of 6 B767-300’s
Flights will also start going to Zanibar, Tanzania and another 2 destinations in India.
They will also start using some A320’s to fly to Egypt but this is for a trail period, I think its only going to be for the summer.

Im not sure, as there are no real details as of yet? Just that it is aimed at the Indian Region, Sri Lanka, Pakistan etc.

What does the new airline do – is it a low cost offshoot, like with Qantas and Australian Airlines?

Ohh, great news, an entire fleet of 767-300s, I’m so pleased!
As for the colour scheme of Gulf Traveller, it’s nice. I didn’t like the Golden Gulf Air colours and felt that the gold was too much to bear, however, this is a wonderful transformation of the existing scheme.
