My Tristar story… I now need your help.

In 1998 flying back into LGW from Gerona, Spain, I took from inside the aircraft of a Tristar sitting on the apron outside, that belonged to Peach Air. TF-ABM (ex-SE-DPP), leased from Air Atlanta.

In 1999, I saw that same aircraft again But in a Caledonian white livery. Then a coulpe of times there after I saw it a LGW.

I know that it has got around a bit in its life, with a few different airlines. It started out life with TWA.

Airlines it has been with include:

TWA
Hawaiian Airlines
Air Atlanta Icelandic
Iberia Airways
Caledonian
Peach Air
Istanbul Airlines
Air Ops

So as you can see a fair few names there.

What I care to know is where is it now… static, flying… or 🙁 scrapped?

Many thanks to anyone who can help the tristar that I seemed to following! :p

Pic below taken by me… from an BY aircraft in 1998.

It was aimed at the budget end of the package holiday market.

It has always been believed within the industry that the name was a deliberate attempt at being an anagram of ‘Cheap’!

This picture is of TF-ABM in the Cal livery in Palma 1999. My Airtours 767 just to the Left. I know that it is TF-ABM cos we taxiied right past it, and I was able to get the reggie.
