DAS Air Cargo DC-10s at EMA……

The last couple of times I’ve been at EMA, Friday and Monday to be precise, there has been a DAS Air Cargo DC-10 on the DHL ramp(where the Gemini birds usually are) which departed late morning, does anyone know if this is to be a regular occurance or just a short term thing?

Regards, Dazza.

Yes Dan you are right. Das air have been operating almost a daily schedule out to Kuwait city in Support of the UK troops in the gulf. Cargo on board is usually food, medical aid supplies and letters/packages to the troops from loved ones back home.

Thanks for the info Dan, shame it looks like being a short term arrangement, its good to see something different at EMA, especially during daylight hours.

Just a short term thing due to the war, but regular flights expected in the short term.
I think they arrive from Kuwait, last I heard they were very regular (maybe even daily), but it isn’t a service that is likely to continue for too much longer.
