This just adds to all the other low cost airlines of Europe :

United Kingdom – easyJet (and go), bmibaby, MyTravel Lite, now,
Jet 2, flyglobespan, Air Scotland

Ireland – Ryanair (and buzz), Fresh Aer (planned)

Norway – Norwegian

Iceland – Iceland Express

Finland – Flying Finn

Sweden – Ryanair base, snowflake

Denmark – snowflake

Germany – Hapag Lloyd Express, Germanwings, dba, Ryanair base

Holland – Basiq Air, easyJet base

Belgium – Virgin Express, Ryanair base

France – flyeco (planned)

Switzerland – easyJet base

Italy – Volareweb, Ryanair base

Greece – Hellas Jet (planned)

Slovakia – Sky Europe

Air Berlin and FlyBe claim to be full service schedueled airlines offering “low cost” fares. The main markets which dont have a main low cost airline are Spain, Portugal and Austria. LowFareJet planning to start in Germany aswell.

Do we have space for anymore? :p :p :p

And am I the only one to think that a “normal” airline creating a low cost division is a bit like insulting their regular customers like saying “see we could fly you for less”.

No. Their price policy on certain European routes is outrageous.

Although SAS is with KLM my favourite airline, I don’t like their livery and this is one is even worse. It is soooooooooo bland.

Maybe I’m too cynical… ๐Ÿ™‚

The a/c is operated by Channex and is shortly due to be transferred onto the G-CEL? range. The a/c are former Lufthansa examples -330QC a/c

hope this helps!

Well it is obvious SAS cannot compete with Ryanair, but yet another low cost airline makes me want to scream, the European aviation market looks like a bad joke….for goodness sake they can’t even get the livery right. They call themselves snowflake yet it is bright yellow? How long it will be around I would question. There seems to be only one low cost airline in Scandinavia-Ryanair. So many have tried to compete yet have failed.
