I had just spent 14 hours 20 minutes flying between Los Angeles and Sydney on this Air New Zealand Boeing 747-400. It’s not exactly “dawn” but I had landed at 6.30am, and I liked how the aircraft looked in shadow.
Taken 8th September 1995.

IKBrunel!!! Thanks for your comments on my photo.
Good to see there are more Brunel fans on this board (you got my vote in “Great Britons” – pity you didn’t win hahaha!!)

“I am new to this forum and am just browsing the subjects, hence the rather late reply on this thread.
It’s so nice to see a picture posted that has been taken by a forum member instead of one taken from Airliners.net, like everyone else seems to do. Nice one Comet”
Here, here there should be more pictures straight from the lens rather than from airliners.net.
Why not start a comp? Best pic wins the admiration of fellow forum users.

Great Mongu, I never went to Brunel University, but I knew about him as a kid when I was into railways and things. I voted for him in “Great Britons”, he is a very interesting character, and, as you say, a great man whose legacy is still around today – the Royal Albert Bridge, the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Paddington Station..

Another fan of the great man!
I went to Brunel University in Uxbridge.
