Anyone?
I’m searching for someone cheap flights from Europe (Belgium, France, UK, The Netherlands, or Germany) to LAX.
If possible not in the hold of an Atlas Air 744, though 😉

As Ren was saying , clearing the customs in Dubling sounds good.
However to be honest , LAX customs are very easy and well organised . Nothing to do with the huge mess at CDG1 😀

Avoid Air New Zealand like the plague!!!
Frank – take my advice, do not fly with Air New Zealand between LHR and LAX, their on board “service” is at best extremely shoddy and at worst non-existant. Their standards are nowhere near as good as you could expect on certain Belgian airlines.

I just ran a check for the same flight on Aer Lingus as I took before www.travel4less.com and in two months from now on a Thursday you can get the same flight for slightly less than I paid before. (just over £300 including taxes)
When I checked for June it was considerably more expensive, although as I said it was this time last year as well. The ‘two months ahead’ system seems to still apply.

I got a return from GLA to LAX via DUB for £289 (+tax) last June on Aer Lingus. It was booked online at www.travel4less.com and the best price I could find was around 2 months ahead in April.
Nice to clear US customs in Dublin, which saved time and hassle in the US. The flights between GLA and DUB were by BAe146 and the long haul was by A330. A travel agent told me Aer Lingus was very popular as they were the cheapest.
I think the LA flight is once a week only though and on a Thursday. They flight is a code share with American. Good friendly service and lovely Irish lasses looking after us all the way.
Worth a try… www.aerlingus.com

From CDG UA was always the cheapest if you want to avoid “exotic” airlines.
You can also try Corsair through “Nouvelles Frontieres”
