Another slant on Iraqi Airways. I have conflicting research on these Iraqi TU124s that indicate that they were used in standard airline service, yet other information that I have indicates that they were purely govt. aircraft. Can anyone out there help with more?

Iraq Airways current is only allowed to operate flights within Iraq with international and domestic flights in the northern no fly zone banned. It would be highly interesting to see what would happen to them if a new Iraq was to emerge in the next few years.

Nice pictures Keltic. That pic of the Air India 747, where is that taken? That airport terminal looks very flash.
I thought I heard somewhere, think it may have been last year, or possibly the year before that some of the Iraqi fleet were back in operation, Or have they been out of op, since the early 90’s?
