Fasten your seatbelts for the flight of a lifetime as Sky One unveils a new 13-part original drama series, Mile High. What do pilots and cabin crew really get up to, both in and out of uniform? Find out in this sexy new series coming exclusively to Sky One from Sunday 16 February.
Filmed on location in London and Spain, Mile High is a potent mix of fast paced drama and comedy. Gripping, glamorous and entertaining, it is a show that is audacious and irreverant, with some serious moments and real characters at its heart.
Mile High follows the lives and loves of six airline cabin crew working for young budget airline Fresh!, who share a house in South East London. We will meet the impulsive and pleasure hungry Lehann (Naomi Ryan, Coronation Street) and the lovely but vulnerable Emma (Emma Ferguson) – will she/won’t she marry her safe and reliable fireman, Ian? Then there’s Marco (Tom Wisdom, Coronation Street), the cute but clumsy new recruit; Will (Adam Sinclair, As If), the wildly enthusiastic, wildly gay, life and soul of the party; macho charmer Jason (James Redmond, Hollyoaks) and the delectable K.C. (Sarah Manners, Doctors, Casualty) who is looking for ‘Mr Rich’.
To add to the mix there is the gorgeous First Officer John Bryson (Matthew Chambers, Final Demand), an old flame of Emma’s who is determined to get her back and Ice Queen Janis Steele (Jo-Anne Knowles, Phoenix Nights), the superbitch Senior Purser who is extremely unpopular with her young, carefree crew.
Thrown together by poverty and the chaos of living their lives across different countries and time zones, the crew become best friends. Young and sexy, they work hard and play even harder!
In the opening episode, new recruit Marco joins Fresh! and has the most disastrous first day, possibly ending his career before it’s even started. Emma discovers on the eve of her wedding that her ex-lover, First Officer John Bryson has returned after a six month absence, throwing her into turmoil. And cheeky chancer Jason hooks up with gorgeous passenger Chrissie (played by guest star Gabrielle Richens), only to discover that she is transporting her dead husband’s ashes back to Spain.
Produced by Oliver Dennis, the series was co-created by Dianne Dixon whose previous credits include US Dramas The Practice and Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Mile High is produced by Hewland International with Jane Hewland and Cameron McAllister as Executive Producers. Their previous successes include Sky One’s award winning Dream Team and ITV’s Daylight Robbery.
Mile High can be seen exclusively on Sky One from Sunday 16 February at 10.00 pm.

…But my schoolwork has carelessly been flung to one side so I can sort of enjoy myself!!
