Proposals to introduce late night flights into Belfast City Airport have been criticised by Northern Ireland’s former enterprise minister.
People living in the area have said they are concerned over an increase in flights to and from the airport.
It follows a decision by BMI to move all its Heathrow services to Belfast City Airport from the beginning of next month.

I think its a good thing personally and i can hear them from my house (the A320/1’s). Runway 22 is used 90% of the time at night and this means they come in over a lough but depart over East Belfast. The aircraft arnt even that noisy after takeoff and the residents in East Belfast flight path do more rioting that planes flying overhead!

RE: Concern at night flights plan
You can see why people are concerned, noise pollution is the main key here I think.
LHR has a ban on night flights… I think its no flights in or out after 11pm till 5:30 in the morning.
LGW does not though, flights operate throughout the night, I can here the roar from the planes from my house.
